We had a 1/2 site visit as part of our training to community cooperative that produces an herbal tea called horchata, about an hour outside of Cuenca. The community and the cooperative are mainly made up of women since male migration rates in the area are high and are receiving funds from various donor groups.

For lunch, the women were kind enough to prepare a type of potluck for us. Each one brought a different dish and then everyone takes turns walking around and either grabbing the food with their hands or eating from a communal spoon.
